Lahore: Bid to smuggle Indian liquor into Pakistan
LAHORE: Rangers on Monday claimed to have seized liquor being smuggled into Pakistani from Indian side at Kanganpur area. Sources revealed that the Rangers had shared this information with Indian BSF during different border meetings held in the recent past.
Recently, the Punjab Rangers busted an international drug racket involved in smuggling of liquor and heroin from Indian side to Pakistan through the international border. ‘The Indian smugglers involved in cross border smuggling were identified as Darshan Singh (Khem Karan), Baldev Pehalwan (Hawalian), Kuldip (Channa), Sukha (Miatan Wala) from Dist Amritsar and Chana Sarpanch (Barekay), and Ibrar Singh (Kaikkey Wali) from Dist Ferozpur.
