Karachi: 4 killed in separate incidents
KARACHI: Four people, including a woman and a minor girl, were killed in different incidents here on Wednesday. Police found a woman’s body cut into six pieces at Shaheed-e-Millat Road, PECHS, Block 7 within the remit of Ferozabad police station here on Tuesday.
Residents informed police about suspicious begs lying at an empty plot where police found the body of a woman cut into pieces without head.
Police shifted the body pieces to hospital and also found the head of deceased woman from Shahrah-e-Faisal. The body pieces were examined at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) and were shifted to a morgue for identification. The police have registered a case against unknown culprits.
Similarly, police found the body of a five-year-old girl near 4-M bus stop, Sikander Goth, within the remit of Sachal police station.
The body was shifted to the hospital where doctors said that the girl was raped before killing. Police said that the victim was identified as Zainab, daughter of Jamshed. She was abducted near her house located at Hussain Hazara Goth while on her way to home from school. Police handed over the body to the family after an autopsy while the murder case was yet to be registered till this report was filed.
Separately, a man was shot dead and other injured in Jamia Millia Malir area within the limits of Al-Falah police station.
Police said that gunmen riding a motorbike sprayed bullets on Adnan Barohi and Faqir near their residence in Gharibabad, Khokhrapar. Both persons sustained bullet wounds and were rushed to the JPMC for treatment where Barohi succumbed to his injuries while Faqir was in critical condition.
Police said that victims have personal enmity with their rival groups while no case was registered till this report was filed.
Meanwhile, a head constable was shot dead in Muzaffarabad Colony within the jurisdiction of Quaidabad police station. Thirty-five-year-old head constable Sher Afzal Mehsud alias Dali, a resident of Muzaffarabad Colony, Quaidabad, was sitting in front of his house when unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on him; resultantly he received two bullets in his face and chest and died on the spot. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities. DSP Nisar Lodhi said the victim was deployed at Awami Colony police station and two months ago, his nephew was also killed in same manner.
The DSP said the victim hailed from Waziristan and tribal enmity might be the motive behind the incident. Later, police handed over his body to heirs. No case was registered till filing the report.
