Lahore: ‘Honour’ girl shot dead
LAHORE: City police on Wednesday handed over the dead body of an 18-year-old girl to her family after the autopsy. Resident of Teeza Girah, Anam Bibi was shot dead by her brother in the name of honour in Manawan police area late on Tuesday night.
Police investigators said that Muhammad Usman shot dead his sister Anam Bibi at their residence and fled away.
According to the deceased family, the girl had developed love affair with a man and later eloped with him. However, she came back home on the intervention of the elders of the family. The police have also registered the murder case on the complaint of Shahnaz Bibi, mother of the deceased. Further investigations are underway.
