Rawalpindi: Woman killed in Harley Street
RAWALPINDI: An old woman, widow of a retired three-star general, was allegedly killed by her daughter and serving officer of a sensitive agency over property dispute in Harley Street here on Tuesday evening, police said.
The RA Bazaar Police have taken up the case on the complaint of woman’s son Major Amer, police said. According to police, Major Amer, in his written complaint, said that a dispute developed between his mother and sister on distribution of inherited property. He said that on Tuesday evening, when he went home, he found his mother lying dead on the floor in her room with multiple wounds and marks of torture in different parts of her body. He shifted her mother to the hospital where doctors confirmed her death.
Major Amer accused his sister and her husband of the murder. Police said that deceased Azmat Bibi was widow of Lieutenant General (r) Abdul Aziz. Police have registered an FIR against the nominated suspects and started investigation.
