Hafizabad: Rs 100m robbery; Case registered against 14 dacoits
HAFIZABAD: Traders observed a complete shutdown against the Rs 100 million robbery for the second consecutive day. Traders led by Anjuman-e-Tajran president Sheikh Muhammad Amjad marched on various roads and chanted slogans against the police. They demanded immediate arrest of the accused and recovery of the booty.
They said that they would stage a demonstration and a sit-in outside DPO office if the accused were not arrested in four days. Various social and political organisations condemned the incident and increasing crime rate in the district. They held the police responsible for the worsening law and order. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against 14 unknown dacoits.
