Rawalpindi: 24 illegal immigrants arrive
RAWALPINDI, Jan 13: As many as 24 Pakistanis deported by Turkish authorities arrived at Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Friday on a Turkish Airline’s scheduled flight, the authorities said.
On arrival, all the illegal immigrants were taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency’s anti-human trafficking officials who, later, shifted them to Gujranwala as all of them belonged to the district.
Turkish authorities capture and deport hundreds of Pakistani illegal immigrants, mostly the young men who try to enter Greece and other European countries in search of jobs. The young men pay thousands of rupees to the travel agents for going to European countries.
After the arrests, these illegal immigrants are detained in camps in harsh conditions and later deported to Pakistan.
