NOWSHERA: The Risalpur police foiled a bid to smuggle hashish to Punjab and arrested two carriers near the Rashakai Interchange, police sources said on Sunday. The sources said that acting on a tip-off the police put up a barricade at the Rashakai Interchange and signalled a car (717/VRB) to stop.
During the search, the sources said, 65 kilograms of hashish was recovered from the car and two drug-traffickers, Mohammad Kamran, resident of Rawalpindi, and Mohammad Javed, resident of Peshawar, were arrested. The accused confessed to have committed the crime during preliminary investigation, the sources added.
