Dera Ghazi Khan: 3 of a family among 4 abducted
DERA GHAZI KHAN: Unidentified men kidnapped four people, including three members of a family, belonging to Qaisrani tribe on Dera Ghazi Khan–Quetta Highway near Rakhni, Balochistan, some 100km from here on Sunday.
Abdul Ghafoor Qaisrani, his son and their relative Shakoor Qaisrani and Yasir Qaisrani were going to Quetta from Kot Qaisrani when the unidentified people intercepted and abducted them along with their car.
According to the family members, the kidnappers released Yasir Qaisrani soon after the abduction. The kidnappers, however, abducted him again after he informed the family members about the incident through a mobile phone.
Abdul Ghafoor Qaisrani is the branch manager of a bank in Quetta and was going back after spending holidays at his native town. After the incident, the abductees’ relatives left Kot Qaisrani for Rakhni to get a case registered.
The abduction for ransom incidents are common in the area. A trader, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, of Dera Ghazi Khan was abducted six months ago. He was released after payment of over Rs 10 million ransom to the kidnappers. Three students of the Bahauddin Zakariya University were also kidnapped when they were going for interview for a job at Rakhni some nine months ago. The kidnappers released the students when their families paid ransom to them.
