Lahore: Killers not traced
LAHORE: Police could not trace and arrest any accused so far in the murder case of a Wapda line superintendent.
Hafiz Makhdom, 35, father of three, was murdered on Thursday at the doorstep of his home at Bhagatpura in the Shadbagh police area. He was posted in Batapur Wapda sub-division.
Shadbagh police had registered a case on complaint of his brother Mahmood Butt. Mahmood had stated in his complaint to police that unidentified men murdered his brother after calling him out of his home. Police suspected the tragedy might be a result of an old enmity.
According to initial investigations, police said two men had tried to enter the victim’s home a week ago. However, the invaders managed to escape when the family members called neighbors for help. Police said the accused would be arrested soon.
