Family looted in Lahore
LAHORE: A Dubai-returned Pakistani national has appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Javed Iqbal to direct the concerned police for the arrest of gangsters, who looted his family at gunpoint on January 6, 2012.
Muhammad Arshad Khan told the police that he along with his family members was on his way home from the Lahore Airport on a pick-up van when four robbers equipped with automatic weapons intercepted them near Chatha Colony. The robbers held them up at gunpoint and snatched away cash, gold ornaments, cellular phones and other valuables worth lakhs of rupees.
The Factory Area police of Sheikhupura district registered a case (FIR No 18/12) under section (392/397 PPC) but the gangsters are still at large. The victim family has appealed to the IGP to ensure immediate arrest of the gangsters and recovery of the looted valuables.
