KARACHI: The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) on Thursday arrested a man impersonating an army general and recovered a Kalashnikov from him.
AN AVCC team interjected a vehicle near Model Colony on a tip-off and took Syed Maqsood Ali into custody while he was on his way to the General City Hospital, where he worked as director general administration.
During the initial interrogation, Ali admitted to calling higher authorities as a 5 Corps brigadier and extracting privileges from various government dignitaries.
When arrested, Ali was in a brigadier uniform.
