Karachi: Two men found dead in different areas of metropolis
KARACHI: Two men were found dead in different areas of the metropolis on Thursday.
The body of a slaughtered young man was found from his home in New Karachi within the limits of Bilal Colony police station.
The victim was identified as Ehtisham, 17, son of Iqrar Hussain, a resident of Sector 5-M, New Karachi. In the wee hours of Thursday, unidentified men entered his house, slaughtered him with a dagger and whisked away.
SHO Ilyas Shah said on information by family, police reached his home and recovered his body from his drawing room. He said the family told police that the victim’s younger brother found his body from the drawing room and in that time TV was also on. Officer said police did not find the dagger.
The victim was the student of Intermediate and second among his four siblings. The officer further said the motive of murder was yet to be ascertained, however, police believed that victim’s friends or relatives were behind the murder.
The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for postmortem and later handed over his family.
SHO said the victim family did not cooperate with police, as they did not provide suitable answers that could provide help for investigation. No case was registered till filing the report as victim family said they would register the case after his burial.
Separately, police found body of a strangulated man from Zafar Town, within the limits of Shah Latif police station.
The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained. Police said the victim wore sky blue Shalwar Kameez and appeared to be Pakhtoon. The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico legal formalities and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification.
Police have registered a case against unidentified men on the complaint of state and initiated a probe in the case.
