ISLAMABAD: A woman along with her sister was arrested on the charge of killing her husband some twenty days ago in the limits of Bhara Kahu police station.

According to police, Mohammad Waseem developed differences with his wife Uzma Saeed and she demanded divorce from him. Both were living separately and Waseem used to visit the house of in-laws to see his two daughters and a son at Mohallah ‘Nain Sukh’ of Bhara Kahu.

On December 30, Waseem came to meet his children late at night and stayed at a room in the house. The next day, police was informed by his brother Mohammad Ismail that Waseem was found dead there with gashes on his body.

Bhara Kahu police registered the case no. 375/11 under section 302 PPC and started investigation. Police succeeded in arresting the wife of deceased, Uzma Saeed, and his sister-in-law Fauzia Saeed who confessed to have axed Waseem to death during his stay at their house that night.

After preliminary investigation, police also recovered axe and a dagger used as murder tools that were hidden in a mattress. Mobile phone of the deceased was also recovered which was concealed in a shoe kept inside the cupboard. Both women alleged that they committed the murder as they feared that Waseem was planning to kill them.
