BAHAWALPUR: The Khanpur city police registered the FIR of the blast which claimed over 19 lives six days ago, against dozens of activists of the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi on Friday.
The booked LeJ activists are: banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi founder Malik Ishaq, Ghulam Rasool Shah, Muhammad Usman, Shafiq Muavia, Ghulam Muhammad, Malik Yaqoob and others. The case has been registered under 7-ATA, 302, 324 of the PPC and Explosive Act on the complaint of Imdad Hussain, a resident of Basti Hajan Gulkala, who received 13 bodies. Citizens have criticised the Khanpur and Rahimyar Khan police for delaying the registration of the case.
