4 kidnapped tribesmen reach home in DG Khan
DERA GHAZI KHAN: After threatening calls from the tribal chief and PML-N MPA Sardar Mir Badshah Khan Qaisrani, the four tribesmen reached home after their release from the Rakhni area, Barkhan district of Balochistan on Saturday night.
A large number of tribesmen welcomed the released tribesmen and congratulated their families. The Rakhni police handed them over the vehicle that was found parked 10 kilometres away from Dera-Quetta Highway. The family members said that the credit goes to former PPP ticket-holder Sardar Imam Bakhash Khan Qaisrani for the release of the abductees.
The kidnappers had allegedly demanded the ransom of Rs 10 million through a telephone call from the family members two days earlier. Sardar Mir Badshah Khan Qaisrani as well as his rival Sardar Imam Bakhash Qaisrani reached Rakhni and pressed the Khaitran elders for the release of their tribesmen.
Unidentified gunmen had kidnapped Abdul Ghafoor Qaisrani, Abdul Shakoor Qaisrani, Jabbar Qaisrani and Yasir Qaisrani on January 8 when they entered the jurisdictions of Balochistan on their way to Quetta from Kot Qaisrani. It was alleged that the officials of law-enforcement agencies had checked the CNICs of the passengers and passed on the information to gangsters. The Qaisrani tribe chief had reportedly given an ultimatum till Saturday evening for the recovery of the abductees, with a warning that the people of Balochistan’s Kheitran tribe would be kidnapped in revenge. However, all the four tribesmen were released and handed over to Imam Bakhash Qaisrani at Rakhni.
