Karachi: Abducted child recovered in raid
KARACHI: Officials of the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) busted a gang of kidnappers and safely recovered an abducted minor boy on Saturday.
Master Mohammad Rashid, aged two years and four months, was kidnapped while he was playing near his house in the Korangi police limits on January 16.
The family received a ransom call from two kidnappers for the payment of Rs150,000 for his release. His father, Hameed Hussain, got a case lodged.
The CPLC and the AVCC formed a joint team, which commenced an investigation and managed to locate the hideout of the kidnappers in Nusrat Colony. The team conducted a raid, safely recovered the boy, and arrested the two kidnappers. Two TT pistols and 10 rounds were also found.
