ISLAMABAD: The most protected premises of Rawalpindi District Courts is not safe from the accesses of criminals. This is evident from the incident in which a gang of criminals on Sunday night broke into a stationery shop — Paracha Stationery — and took away stationary worth Rs100,000 and cash Rs26,000, Zia Ghafoor Paracha, owner of the shop, told The Civil Line Police in a written application. The police have taken up the case and started investigation.
It is worth mentioning here that District and Session Judge Rawalpindi a couple of days back took a serious notice of the poor security of the District Courts and asked the City Police Officer (CPO), on the complaint of Rawalpindi Bar Association, to enhance the security there. The lawyers’ community have reacted strongly on the occurrence and lodged another complaint with the concerned authorities to provide them foolproof security.
