Islamabad Police have a field day

ISLAMABAD: It was a busy day for the capital city police personnel, who remained engaged in nabbing criminals throughout the day. The Aabpara police arrested five women who were allegedly involved in stealing jewellery from female passengers in public transports.

 

According to police, Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shah and his team arrested the women, who were later identified as Kiran, Rabia, Samia, Ruqiya and Nasreen.

Jewellery including gold bangles were recovered from the arrested women while investigation is underway.

Police say the accused have also confessed to committing such crime in area of Tarnol Police Station.



Meanwhile, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Iqbal of Shalimar Police Station arrested Mazhar Hussain and recovered stolen mobiles form him, while Sub-Inspector Manzoor Ahmed nabbed Khalid for possessing hashish.

Separately, sub-inspectors Abdul Rauf and Shehbaz Ahmed of Ramnah Police Station seized 1.2kg hashish from two men during the search of their car. They said the accused, identified as Farooq and Sheerazi, also carried a 30-bore pistol.

Moreover, Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabbir of Tarnol Police Station claimed to have arrested three drug pushers during routine patrolling. The men – Khadim Hussian, Nur Badhsah and Waisal Ahmed – were caught with 8.5kg hashish and a 30-bore pistol on them. Similarly, Sub-Inspector Ahmed Kamal from Industrial Area Police arrested Abdul Hameed and Ali for possessing 700g hashish. On the other hand, Shalima Police recovered a car that was stolen from Taxila.
