KASUR: An under-trial prisoner was shot dead by his rival on court premises here on Tuesday. Aas Muhammad, son of Rehmat Khan, had killed about 8-9 people of his rivals and was declared a proclaimed offender. The Barki police had arrested him a few months ago. He was being to the court of Additional Sessions Judge Umar Hayat when Muhammad Aslam, the complainant, opened fire at him.
He was seriously injured and taken to hospital where he died. The police arrested the attacker and started investigations.
