ISLAMABAD: The Margalla Police have arrested from Bhara Kahu a key suspect of shootout at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, (PIMS) in which two women were killed two weeks ago.
The assailants were aiming to attack, Rana Sarwat, who was admitted in room number 8 of PIMS after being injured at the district courts. A case 108/ 2001 was registered against Rana Sarwat with Bhara Kahu Police Station under murder charges.
The unidentified culprits wanted to attack Sarwat, but mistakenly entered room number 9 and shot dead two females identified as Saleha Bibi and Balqees Bibi. The accused managed to flee the scene.
A special police team succeeded to arrest, Mujahid alias Seth Manzoor, a key suspect from Bhara Kahu during a raid. The culprit is a resident of Karachi and also involved in a previous attack on Sarwat in the district courts. The capital police have dispatched teams to arrest accomplices of the culprit.
