KARACHI: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three alleged target killers and recovered weapons from their possession.
SSP CID Fayyaz Khan said a police team on a tip-off conducted a raid near the Capri Cinema within the limits of Soldier Bazaar police station and arrested three alleged target killers, Sher Alam Mehsud alias Langra, son of Haji Shafiq; Shaheen Mehsud alias Salman, son of Haji Liaquat and Gul Khan Afghani, son of Abdul Ghani. The CID team also recovered three TT pistols, 320 grammes of hashish and a snatched bike from their possession, he said.
The SSP said the detained persons during initial course of investigation confessed to their involvement in several heinous crime cases, including target killings, riots and police encounters, with the assistance of their accomplices, Aga Jabbar and Din Muhammad.
He said the accused persons had affiliation with a political party. Further investigation was underway while raids were being conducted to nab their accomplices.
