LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muneer Ahmad on Saturday awarded the death sentence to two murder convicts. The court gave Ali Hassan and Muhammad Asif death sentence on the charges of murdering a person while gave the benefit of the doubt to Bashir Ahmed and released him. The court directed the convicts to pay Rs300,000 as compensation to the heirs to the victim.
As per details, complainant Tanveer had registered an FIR with Manawan Police Station, contending that Ali and Asif had shot his uncle Muhammad Shafique dead. Later, police investigated the matter and submitted challan in the court.
On Thursday, the court, after hearing the final arguments of both the parties, awarded death sentence to Ali Hassan and Muhammad Asif.
