Sahiwal: Woman seeks arrest of husband’s killers
SAHIWAL: A woman has appealed to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, IGP Punjab Javed Iqbal, the Sahiwal RPO and DPO Rana Ayaz Saleem to order immediate arrest of the killers of her husband and provide her security.
Talking to The News, Fatima Bibi said that Ishtiaq, Ashraf and Ayub entered their cattle pen on November 8, 2011 where her husband Sohna Khan and son Ahmed Ali were sleeping. She said that the accused shot dead her husband and on the hue and cry of her son, the killers escaped. She added that the shirt of one of the accused was found from the site from which a diary and a SIM card were recovered. She said that Ashraf later admitted that he with Ishtiaq and Ayub had planned a dacoity and killed Sohna when his son raised an alarm. She said that a case was registered against the killers and the police could only arrest Ashraf even after three months. She said that Ishtiaq and Ayub were roaming in the area and threatening her with dire consequences. She appealed to the chief justice, the Sahiwal RPO and the DPO to assign the investigation of the case to another official and order immediate arrest of the killers. She also demanded that security should be provided to her.
