Arms smuggling bid foiled in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Chamkani police on Sunday claimed to have foiled a bid to smuggle a huge quantity of ammunition and arrest a person. Police stopped a car on the Inqilab Road and recovered 46 pistols of different bores, seven rifles and over 7,000 of rounds from the vehicle. The ammunition was reportedly being transported to Punjab. The driver of the car was arrested.
