ISLAMABAD: A 39-year-old woman was murdered by her brother over a petty dispute in the limits of Nilore Police Station on Sunday.
According to sources, Shamim Akhtar wife of Mohammad Pervez, a resident of Harnow Thanda Pani exchanged heated arguments with her brother Matloob over right of way.
Their houses were adjacent to each other but she had to walk through brother’s land to approach the main street. However, brother had placed some goods (woods, etc) on the way due to which both had exchanged heated arguments on many occasions in past.
On Sunday they had an argument after which Matloob shot her in the head. Residents of the area informed the police and the dead body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) for autopsy.
Duty officer of Nilore Police Station told that suspect managed to flee from the crime scene; however an FIR under section 302 was registered against him.
