Karachi: Man kills wife, daughter in the name of honour
KARACHI: A man allegedly killed his wife and daughter on suspicion they had a loose character at their house in Sohrab Goth area on Saturday.
Ajmeena Bibi, 32, and her daughter Raheela, 13, were found dead at their house in Angaara Goth in the Sohrab Goth police limits.
After being called to the house, police recovered the bodies from the first floor of the house. Ajmeena’s husband Shahzeb Khan was missing.
Neighbourers told the police that Khan, a labourer by profession, often quarreled with his wife and daughter and, on Saturday afternoon, they heard screams from the house and there was a complete silence after some time.
After the passage of about an hour, the neighbours saw Khan leaving his house.
They then entered the house only to find
that Ajmeena and Raheela lying in a pool of blood.
Police believed that the woman and her daughter were killed by Khan, who smashed their heads with a hammer or some other hard object and fled the house.
The suspect’s cell phone was also found switched off. However, police were trying to locate the whereabouts of the suspect.
Khan and his wife hailed from Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the police apprehend that he killed his wife and daughter on suspicion they had a loose character.
