Karachi: Two bodies recovered
KARACHI: The police recovered two bodies in different areas on Sunday. The bullet-riddled body of a man, 32-year-old Saleem Akhter, was found in Baldia Town on Sunday.
Some people saw the body and informed the police who later shifted it to the Civil Hospital. The MLO said that there were marks of torture and three bullet holes on the body. According to the police, the Akhter was a resident of the Naval Colony Mauripur and he was kidnapped by unidentified people last night and after killing him at an unknown place, and threw his body in their police area. They termed it a case of targeted killing.
Meanwhile, the decomposed body of an unidentified man, said to be in his 30s, was found in his flat in Tambakoo Building in the Shershah area. One of his neighbours, on sensing anno dour emanating from the flat, informed the police, who shifted the body to the Civil Hospital. The MLO said that the body was at least five days old and that he was strangled to death.
His viscera were preserved for chemical examination. According to the police, the man, who lived alone in the flat, was killed due to an old enmity. Elderly man commits suicide An elderly man committed suicide at his residence in the Kalakot police limits on Sunday.
Essa, 70, went to the rooftop of his residence on Mawa Shah Road after having an argument with his son, and then jumped down. One of his neighbours saw him falling and informed his family members, who took him to the Civil Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Later, they took his body away without the legal formalities.
