NOWSHERA: The police and the law-enforcing agencies in a joint action arrested two commanders of the banned militant group Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) from the Jalozai camp on Sunday, official sources said. Acting on a tip-off, the police and intelligence officials besieged the Jalozai camp and launched search operation during which two LI commanders, Umar and Jalal, were arrested.
Both the commanders belong to the Shalobar Afridi tribe of Khyber Agency and had recently shifted to Jalozai camp after the security forces launched operation against the militants in Bara subdivision. The sources said the accused were precise marksmen and target killers and wanted to the government in carrying out attacks on the security forces, police and Khassadars.
