Three injured in Darra Adamkhel landmine blast

KOHAT: Three persons, including two minors, sustained injuries in a landmine blast in Akhorwal area in Darra Adamkhel on Tuesday, sources said. The sources said the youths were playing football in Kamarkhel village in Akhorwal area when a landmine went off, leaving three persons injured.

The injured were identified as 14-year-old Bilal, 11-year-old Ahmed and Sharif Khan. The latter was discharged from the hospital while the former two were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar in critical condition.



The sources said that suspected militants had planted the landmine at the playground at night. Following the incident, security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area but no arrest had yet been made.
