Islamabad: Four stolen vehicles recovered
ISLAMABAD: The National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) have recovered four stolen cars and arrested two car-lifters, the NH&MP spokesman said.
Upon receiving information from Islamabad Police about a stolen yellow cab bearing registration number RIU-600, the NH&MP officials stopped the car near Burhan and arrested Khawar Hameed, son of Abdul Hameed, of Rawalpindi.
Police also spotted another car (LEB-5112), which was parked on the hard shoulder and no one was present there. The car was stolen from Kaleke Mandi Police Station, Hafizabad. On information provided by the Rawalpindi Police about a Suzuki pick-up (TH-062-ICT) snatched from Chauntra, the NH&MP officials intercepted the car near Burhan and arrested accused Umer Farooq, son of Muhammad Bux, from Multan. The officials also managed to recover a Suzuki Carry Van bearing registration number LRA-4297 which was snatched from the jurisdiction of Wazirabad Police Station.
