KARACHI: A man allegedly killed his friend over suspicion he was having an affair with his wife in Block N of North Nazimabad on Wednesday.
Usman made his wife call Irfan, 29, to their house near the Pyala Hotel and stabbed him to death after an altercation. The assailant has been absconding since. Taimuria police took the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy. The police said Irfan was a barber and allegedly involved in an illicit relationship with Shazia, the wife of Usman. The husband got to know about their relationship a couple of days before the incident. The police said the deceased and the assailant hailed from Multan.
Meanwhile, the decomposed body of an unidentified man in his mid-30s was found lying in bushes in the Gulshan-e-Maymar police jurisdiction. Police took the corpse of the man, whose hands and feet had been tied with a rope, to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem. A medico-legal officer of the hospital said the body was two days old and bore torture marks and two bullet holes.
The police believed that the man had fallen prey to a target killing.
