Man kills brother in Lahore
LAHORE: A 44-year-old man allegedly gunned down his younger brother, father of one, over a property dispute in Shafiqabad police precincts on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Asif, of Dao Shala. According to investigators, two brothers, namely Arif and Asif, the sons of Muhammad Shafi, have been dealing in furniture business near Dhobi Ghaat. On Thursday, a servant, namely Hanif, working on the top of the furniture shop, hear a bullet fire and came down.
“I witnessed the body of Asif lying in a pool of blood, whereas Arif was standing besides it, claiming that someone had killed his brother,” a police source quoted Hanif as having said. He further said Arif took away the body to him home.
However, the police concerned reached the scene and shifted the body to the City morgue for autopsy.
“Both the brothers quarreled over petty dispute of property some days ago. On Thursday, Arif fired on the face of his younger brother, which claimed his life on the spot,” a senior police officer said, adding although no one has submitted a formal application but police will proceed in accordance with law.
