Three killed in separate acts of violence
KARACHI: Three people were killed in separate acts of violence in different parts of the metropolis on Friday.
A man was shot dead near Lyari Expressway within the limits of Shershah police station. Fareed Khan, 35, was going home with his cousin Saleem in a taxi when two armed men, riding a motorcycle, opened fire on him, resultantly he received four bullets and died on the spot.
The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. Police official said the victim was the resident of Shershah Urdu Bazaar and was working in fisheries department. Police said the victim hailed from tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal enmity was motive behind the incident but police were investigating the case on another angle. Police have registered an FIR (19/12) against unidentified men on the complaint of Saleem and initiated a probe into the case.
