Criminals on rampage in Sialkot district
SIALKOT: The dacoits and other criminals are on the rampage as a police constable and a private security guard were shot injured, while valuables worth millions of rupees including gold ornaments and cash were looted in different incidents here in the district.
Reportedly, some policemen were going back to home on their motorcycles after performing their duties. When they reached Chawinda-Pasrur Road, three dacoits opened fire on them and injured constable Muhammad Saffyan, who was admitted to Pasrur THQ Civil Hospital in critical condition.
In Uggoki, two dacoits injured a local bakery shop’s private security guard, Muhammad Ashraf, butting him with their guns upon resistance during a dacoity incident in the bakery shop.
The dacoits snatched Rs35,000 from cashier and snatched the Pumpaction gun from the injured guard and fled.
In village Bhoth, some thieves took away a car of Younus Masih.
In Chah Jattan, thieves broke into a general store of Usman Haider and decamped with the cash and valuables worth thousands of rupees from there.
In Kotli Loharaan-West, three armed men snatched gold ornaments and mobile phone from Tabassam Iqbal Bibi at gunpoint.
In village Nagor-Motra, four dacoits looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables worth of Rs0.3 million from the house of a local landlord, Muhammad Arif. The Police have registered separate cases with no arrest or recovery till the filing of this report.
