Rawalpindi: Qatar-bound passenger held, heroin recovered
RAWALPINDI: Personnel of the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Tuesday arrested a passenger from Benazir Bhutto International Airport after recovery of hundreds of heroin-filled capsules from his stomach, the ANF said. An ANF official said that a team of ANF intercepted a passenger, later identified as Naveed Ahmad, resident of Dera Ismail Khan, when he was proceeding to Kuwait by a Qatar Airways flight KU-206.
The ANF team took the suspect to the hospital for examination and conducted X-Ray of his stomach and found capsules filled with heroin. Later, 130 heroin–filled capsules were recovered from his stomach, the ANF said and added that the capsules contained more than 900 grams of heroin.
