Taxila: Dreaded criminal killed
TAXILA, Feb 10: A dreaded criminal wanted for murder, robberies and kidnapping for ransom met his end in a shootout with police in Sarai Gadai area some 20 kilometres from here, sources said on Friday.
Police of Taxila and Wah Cantonment had been hunting for Malik Tanasib Khan, a resident of Budo village, for long.
He was wanted in more than 36 criminal cases, including the robbery in jewellery market in Wah Cantt in which nine shops in a row were looted on October 5 last year.
He was also accused of kidnapping Dr Talal Ahmed who was killed in a botched rescue operation conducted jointly by the Haripur and Taxila police.
