Karachi: SSP activist among four nabbed
KARACHI: Sir Syed police on Saturday claimed to have arrested four criminals, including an activist of banned Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), and recovered weapons from their possession. SHO Changaiz Khan informed that a police party conducted a raid within the premises of Shah Mohammad Graveyard, sector 9, North Karachi when some armed men opened fire on them.
The police retaliated and after more than twenty minutes of crossfire, arrested four culprits, including Fahim alias Qari Fahim, Zulfiqar, Adeel and Arif, besides recovering a repeater, one rifle, four TT pistols, 10 mobile phones and a motorcycle from their possession. Officer said Qari Fahim belonged to the SSP and had been involved in several henonius crimes, including murders, attempts to murder and police encounters. He has been released from the jail thrice, whereas the other accused were involved in house robberies and street crimes. He said the bandits were involved in many robberies in North Karachi’s sector 9 and sector 10 areas. Police have registered four cases against the accused and started further investigation.
