Khanewal: Gang busted, ringleader held
KHANEWAL: The district police claimed to have busted a gang namely ‘Yaari Gang’ and arrested the ringleader and his three companions, adding that gang was involved in car, motorcycle snatching and dacoity incidents. Khanewal District Police Officer Muhammad Waqar Abbasi told a press conference that the gang was active in the area of Abdul Hakim, Khanewal and district Jhang.
The raiding team comprised Kabirwala DSP Mian Tanveer, SHO Haider Abbas Sipra, SI Shaukat and ASI Muhammad Fazil among others. The police team started investigation on scientific grounds, and cell data reports, and busted the criminal. The gang leader was identified as Allah Yar alias Yaari Sial, a resident of village Shahdat Kandla, his companions as Qaswar Abbas of Shahadat Kandla, Irfan Haider Qureshi and Ali Shahbaz of Chaar Yaari, Ahmad Pur Sial district Jhang.
The DPO said that police had also recovered booty of 0.35 million, including seven motorcycle, two cell phones, cash and two pistols, rifle 444, bullets 10. He appreciated the effort of the police party. He admitted that it is the police’s top priority to provide justice for people. He also urged the civil society and media to support the police to eliminate culprits and black sheep hidden in the shape of common people.
