ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Tuesday arrested 25 criminals including a woman drug-pusher, from various areas of the city and recovered hashish and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said. Sub-Inspector Sultan Mehmud from Secretariat Police Station nabbed an accused Gulfam for possessing a 30-bore pistol, while ASI Tariq Mehmud of Bhara Kahu police arrested Misbah Islam for possessing a 30-bore pistol.
Ramna police nabbed Naveed Ahmed and recovered a 32-bore pistol from him while ASI Rana Shaukat Ali apprehended Akhtar for possessing a 30-bore pistol.
Tarnol police arrested Naseem Bibi and recovered 410 grammes of hashish from her. Meanwhile, Koral police nabbed two thieves-Iqbal and Ramzan.
Islamabad SSP Muhammad Yousuf Malik has directed all police officials to enhance vigilance in their respective areas.
Police have also arrested 18 criminals including five gamblers from various areas and recovered 33 bottles of liquor, 345 grammes hashish, three 30-bore pistols each with 513 rounds, one 9mm pistol with two bullets, Rs 7,215 in cash and two mobile phones from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
Rawalpindi police arrested Mansub Khan, Nadir Khan, Muhammad Naveed, Muhammad Anwar, Imran Rafique, Sarwar Masih, Muhammad Naseem, Iftikhar Hussain, Naveen Victor, Ghulam Shah, Nadeem Khan, Anbeel Waqar and Naseer Ahmed. Cases have been registered against these arrested persons.
