Karachi: Firing suspect lynched in F. B Area
KARACHI: A man was beaten to death by area people while he was fleeing after firing at a man near Sohrab Goth within the remit of the Federal B Area police station on Tuesday. The incident took place in Madina Colony, where Imran Salahuddin, 30, opened fire on Tariq Mehsud. As the suspect was trying to escape, people caught him and gave him a severe beating before he was handed over to the police.
The police shifted him to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, but he had died on the way to the hospital. SHO Javed Yousufzai said Imran had a criminal record and was nominated in around a dozen cases at the Baloch Colony police station. The officer said Imran was a resident of Junejo Town, Mehmoodabad, and had some dispute with Tariq Mehsud, also wanted in several cases of rioting and robberies.
On early Tuesday morning, when Imran tried to flee after firing at Tariq, supporters of Mehsud caught the suspect and beat him up so severely that he later died, police added. Police registered a case (FIR 32/2012) under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code against unidentified people at the F.B Area police station.
