LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Nadeem Shaukat on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to two drug peddlers nominated in a narcotics case. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs. 200,000 each on both convicts. In case of default in payment of the fine, both convicts will have to undergo further one year jail term. Shafiqabad Police had arrested Aftab Ali Shah and Takht Gull Khan in March 2009. Police had seized a large quantity of hashish from their possession.
On Tuesday, the court after hearing final arguments of both parties convicted Aftab Ali Shah and Takht Gull Khan.
