Larkana: 10 held in murder case
LARKANA: Police paarties from Dadu and Larkana jointly raided the katcha area in Veehar, district Larkana, arresting 10 people from the Kalhora and Lashari tribes whose recent ongoing feud has claimed at least 21 lives. The tribes were said to be illegally occupying forest land, over which they were having a bloody feud. Assistant Superintendent of Police at Larkana Aijaz Tareen said the Kalhora and Lashari tribal groups, ten of whose people were arrested, were guilty of violating the law and thus, shall not be forgiven.
Men and women belonging to both the tribes staged a protest demonstration, blocking the Larkana-Radhan road for some time, burning tyres and chanting slogans, against the action taken by the police, terming it as illegal as the police did not have any warrants against them.
