Karachi: 5 women murdered in separate incidents
KARACHI: Two women were murdered in different places in the Mominabad police limits on Monday. Salma, 32, was strangulated by her husband, Muneer Khan, after an altercation in the Paracha Chowk residence in Sector–10 situated in the Faqeer Colony. After the murder, the accused fled the scene.
Her relatives saw the body and informed the police. The police shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy. A lady MLO said there were torture marks on the body with the cause of death being strangulation.
According to the police, the accused is a truck driver. In the same police jurisdiction, Rakshanda, 32, wife of Aslam, died when unidentified men opened fire after barging into her residence in the Mansoor Nagar situated in the Bismillah Colony, Sector 11-1/2. They also managed to flee from the spot.
The area people, after hearing the fire shots, rushed to the place and saw the body in a pool of blood. The police shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post–mortem. According to the police, the deceased is killed over a personal enmity.
Meanwhile, parts of a female body were recovered in a shopping bag in the Soldier Bazaar police limits on Monday. The hands and legs of an unidentified 30-year-old woman, packed in the shopping bag, were found in garbage near Guru Mandir.
One of the sweepers saw the limbs and informed the police. The police shifted the body parts to the Civil Hospital. A lady MLO said the limbs were at least two days old.
According to the police, the deceased’s head is also found, in the same police jurisdiction, however, in another trash near the Fish Market on Sunday. The police claimed that unidentified men had kidnapped the victim and after raping her, killed her and dismembered the body.
In another incident, an angry husband killed his wife, Haseena, and her paramour, Habibullah, in the Dhani Bukhsh Goth residence situated in the Gulshan–e-Maymar on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a bullet-riddled body of an unidentified 25–year–old woman was found in the bushes near the Northern Bypass in the Sohrab Goth police jurisdiction on March 8th.
