Lahore: 4 students, impersonator held
LAHORE: Four candidates were caught cheating on Monday in the ongoing matriculation annual examinations being conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore.The BISE officials also caught an impersonator from an exam centre during the paper in the subject of Mathematics.
According to a board’s spokesperson, on the instructions of BISE Chairman Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik, the controller of examinations visited different centres established in Lahore. He said during the inspection of Government Dar-ul-Furqan High School, Begumpura, centre, two candidates, Muhammad Suleman, roll number 217,965 and Muhammad Faheen, roll number 217,966 were found possessing relevant material in the exam centre.
During inspection of Government Model High School, Kahna Nau, centre, two candidates, Ayaz Jamil, roll number 242,990 and Muhammad Qasim, roll number 242,921 were also caught with relevant material.
During the inspection of centres set up within the premises of Punjab University, New Campus, an impersonator, Ejaz Ahmad, son of Tahir Shah, was caught red and handed over to police. He had appeared in the exam against a candidate, Muhammad Mashal, son of Nazir Khan, roll number 238,572.
