Rawalpindi: Case registered against woman for threatening to kill Punjab CM
RAWALPINDI: Police have registered a case against an unknown woman for threatening to kill chief minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif during his visit to Rawalpindi last Saturday to inaugurate the Chandni Chowk flyover, police sources said.
The airport police station confirmed the report saying an FIR has been lodged after the verification of the threatening call. Police sources said airport authorities received a telephone call from a woman on Saturday when the CM Punjab landed at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport here. The woman threatened to kill the CM in a suicide attack. Police have traced the caller in Karachi, sources said, adding that a team has been sent to Karachi to investigate and arrest the caller.
