Chakwal: Man gets death, beloved life term in double murder case
CHAKWAL: A court Wednesday sentenced a man to death on two counts and life imprisonment on two counts to a female co–accused in a double murder case. Accused Mumtaz Begum and her paramour Hashmat Khan had murdered Aksar Hussain and Ms Bhagh Bharri, parents of Mumtaz Begum, of Dhoke Chakki Dakhli in 2009.
The motive behind the murder was that both the accused persons had illicit relations with each other and when the parents of the woman came to know about their illicit relations, they forbade Hashmat Ali from visiting their house. Having grudge against them, the accused persons murdered them with a sharp-edged weapon. The accused were also imposed Rs 300,000 fine each, which would be paid to the legal heirs of the deceased.
