Lahore: Passer-by killed in clash over shop rent
LAHORE: A 60–year–old passer–by was killed and another injured in a shooting which involved a tenant in Abid Market of Mozang area on Wednesday. The suspects also thrashed a young man who tried to reconcile between the two.
Police said Muhammad Siddique and Tahir Butt suffered wounds after Athar and his accomplices opened fire on Muhammad Moaaz, son of Haji Atta Muhammad (owner of the shop which was in the use of Athar) following a quarrel over monthly rent.
The suspects missed the target and bullets they fired hit the passers–by. Siddique succumbed to his wound at hospital.
Before shooting, Athar and his men thrashed youngster Asif for trying to mediate between two sides.
Moaaz had gone to Athar for the collection of rent at the time of the incident.
