Faisalabad: Kidnapper gets life term
FAISALABAD: Anti–Terrorism Court-I (ATC) Judge Ishtiaq Ahmad awarded life term on two counts to an accused involved in abduction for ransom case of Pir Mehal police station. According to the prosecution, Qasim Mehmood of Chakwal along with his accomplices Shehzad Yousuf, Muhammad Ali, Nasir Javaid and Irshad had abducted a boy from Chak No.720-GB on May 18, 2010 and received Rs1 million as ransom for his release.
After observing evidences and witnesses, the court awarded life imprisonment on two counts to Qasim Mehmood and ordered for forfeiture his entire property. The court also handed down the convict with 10 year rigorous imprisonment and directed him to pay a fine of Rs200,000.
