Lahore girl recovered from Balochistan
QUETTA: A 17–year–old girl who was kidnapped from Lahore has been recovered from Rakhni area of Balochistan. Police sources said a gang involved in kidnapping women and later selling them out abducted a 17–year–old girl from Lahore on gunpoint and brought her to Rakhni area of Balochistan. They kept the abducted girl in a house in Rakhni for one and half month.
The local Levies Force received a tip-off, that the gang had kept the girl in a house and was going to sell it out to other person. A team of Levies Force headed by an official of border military police conducted raid at the house. They arrested four kidnappers including gang leader Asif alias Lakho and recovered the kidnapped girl. Later, the kidnappers were handed over to police station Gadai for further interrogation. More probes into the matter were in progress.
Official sources in the local Levies Force told media persons that several gangs from Sindh and Balochistan used to kidnap women from Data Darbar shrine of Lahore and other parts of Punjab and later sell them out to local people in far flung areas of their provinces. “They used to trap girls who leave their homes due to domestic dispute with their family members.
