Karachi: Woman among 2 killed in city
KARACHI: Two persons, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents in the metropolis on Thursday. Police said that a 22-year-old woman Saima alias Shabita was stabbed to death by her father in a slum area of Qalandaria Chowk, Nusrat Bhutto Colony, within the limits of Shahrah–e–Noor Jahan police station.
They said the woman got married over a year back but was recently divorced. They said the accused person, who was a psycho patient, was arrested outside his house and added that the daughter and her father used to quarrel over domestic issues. Police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation into it.
Similarly, a man Muhammad Nawaz killed his father Dil Nawaz Tanoli, 55, over a petty issue within the limits of Chakiwara police station. Police said the father received fatal bullet wounds when he scolded his son over addiction issue.
The victim hailed from Haripur Hazara and was the father of four persons. A case was registered against accused on the complaint of his mother. The police have initiated a probe into the case.
